We went on a service call last week where the fridge display was not working properly. It was a LG French Door Fridge Model # LFX25975ST/03 and the display panel on the freezer door was not illuminating all the segments of the LED characters. It also was dim and hard to read. We finished a job today where a Miele Dishwasher was leaking and giving a “Waterproof” error. We found a pin hole in the tub. This is extremely unusual, as the tub is stainless steel. Actually this “jet plane* noise can happen on top load machines too. The problem usually is the tub bearing. We recently repaired one for a customer. Here are some photos of the project.
This is the old outer tub with bad bearing and seal. The seal fails, then water gets in the bearing and damages it.
